what is imagery?

definition
Imagery is when words create a picture in your head.

example

Her face was angelic, as if butter would not melt in her mouth.
This might conjure up different images for different people, but none-the-less, you will imagine something.

explanation

Imagery is a way of using descriptive language to describe things more vividly, to bring them to life for the reader. The writing style is so descriptive that the reader conjures up an image in their head and in this way, they connect with the writing on a deeper level.
